Eden China Trial Election
The Chinese EOS Community has created a customized version of Eden on EOS and hosted an EdenCN trial election on March 20th. The EdenCN team has successfully forked the Eden codebase, which was initially created by Dan Larimer’s ClarionOS team, and is currently working on deploying the smart contract.
Compared to the original code, the EdenCN fork has introduced a couple of adjustments, which in the trial election will be tested by participants. One significant change is that teams can submit proposals for review before the election date so that EdenCN members can choose and run for it as a representative. The goal of the election process is to identify and fund the project with the highest chances of success and therefore bring value to EOS.
The ENF has signaled their support for EdenCN and announced to be matching the 1000 EOS prize for the winner of the trial election. Once the EdenCN smart contract is fully deployed the ENF will sponsor an additional 25000 EOS for the 1st official EdenCN election, scheduled for Q2 2022.
The ENF Announces Additional $125K for Pomelo S2 Matching Pool
The EOS Network Foundation announced an additional $125k in funding for Pomelo Grants during Seasons 2. The total contributions are now over $1,000,000, which is approximately twice as much as Pomelo Season 1. Yves La Rose announced the additional funding during this week’s EOS Fireside Chat and spoke about how this is an excellent opportunity for people who are creating public goods to be rewarded for their work.
Pomelo Season 2 is coming soon and the dates are now finalized. Applications will be accepted from March 22nd to April 11th and donations will be accepted from March 30th to April 23rd.

Wallet+ Blue Paper
The EOS Wallet+ Blue Paper is a compilation of research into the current state of the EOS ecosystem. It identifies many improvements for wallets, SDKs, UX standards, and other pieces that comprise the user-facing portion of the network.
The EOS Wallet+ Blue Paper been crafted by the teams from Greymass and Ultra, who are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable teams developing on EOSIO. The collaborative nature of this working group allowed them to hone in on many of the most salient issues facing EOS and articulate many novel solutions.
The ENF and the sponsored working groups are now actively seeking out community feedback on such considerations. Additionally, we would like to hear the community’s thoughts and opinions on the funding proposals put forth by each of the sponsored working groups.
Everything EOS with Aaron Cox
The Everything EOS podcast is back with special guest Aaron Cox!
Aaron Cox is the architect behind the Anchor Wallet, co-founder of Greymass, an ENF board member, the first head chief Delegate of Eden, and served as the project lead of the ENF working groups.
In this podcast, Aaron discusses his experience writing the API+ and Wallet+ Blue Papers and previews what to expect in the Wallet+ Blue Paper. He also shares insight into what the focus has been at Greymass, how they’ve recently hired more developers, and their plans for prioritizing the Unicove Web Wallet.
#EndRant | ENF Funding: How Does It Work?
Yves La Rose breaks down the mechanisms by which the ENF is funded, delving into such topics as the relationship between the ENF and EOS Block Producers, how the ENF’s treasury is effectively governed by account permissions, and how the ENF’s not-for-profit status factors into grant making.
