5x Yield+ Rewards with Full Launch
On Monday, the EOS Network core development team launched the full version of Yield+, which activates the 5% TVL (Total Value Locked) reward subsidy for all qualified DeFi protocols registered with the initiative.
Yield+ offers DeFi applications an opportunity to earn extra yield by using the EOS blockchain to create liquidity pools of EOS and USDT. These DeFi rewards encourage people to put in more liquidity, therefore ramping up the TVL and lowering the risks for market manipulation. For details, look at current rewards distributions in our September Yield+ report, or visit the official Yield+ site.
As outlined in the Blue Paper, the Yield+ initiative rewards protocols up to a TVL of $6 million. This reward cap helps disincentivize large DeFi pools that can become single points of failure. You can find full details in the Yield+ Documentation.
To qualify, all protocols hoping to join Yield+ must also be in the Recover+ program, which aims to create guardrails and guidelines for hacks on DeFi and other smart contracts.
The full launch of the Yield+ Incentive program marks a major milestone that increases opportunities to reward dApp developers and earn yield for EOS users. A method that directly measures and rewards increased economic activity on EOS can attract and retain an interest in the entire ecosystem, and the Yield+ team has delivered on that goal.
Yves Making the Media Rounds – Entrepreneur.com & Wendy O Show
Yves La Rose continues to tell The New EOS story on the Wendy O show this week, which Wendy streams and publishes daily to her 172k subscribers. In this roundtable discussion, Yves discussed Yield+ incentives and the story of how EOS achieved independence.
The interview is an informative window into the perception of EOS within the wider blockchain space. Among more recent entrants to the crypto ecosystem, EOS is relatively unknown, allowing current network participants to define the network’s image anew.
Jessica Abo from Entrepreneur.com also interviewed Yves, who talked about decentralization and future roadmaps, and once again told the tale of the network seizing control from a powerful corporation and taking its fate into its own hands.
The story of EOS inspires and ignites the imagination. It is a technological David vs. Goliath, and as the world begins to learn about the saga, they won’t be able to ignore the network’s trajectory forward into its second act.

New Pomelo NFTs & News
Pomelo gears up for Season 4 with the release of its second NFT of this season, Grant Collectible packs. Like Moon Rocks, the first NFT in the series, the purchase of Grant Collectible packs helps to fund the Pomelo matching pool, and you can blend Grant Collectible packs with Moon Rocks or NFTs from previous seasons to help your astronaut explore the moon. You can find more details by reading the Pomelo Season 4 Guide and participating in the NFT series.
Pomelo provides a place where you can get funding for your public-good projects. Matching partners provide a pool of funds for an even bigger impact. The EOS Network Foundation provided $350,000 in matching funds for Season 4. The season kicks off on November 14.
Inspired by Gitcoin, Pomelo funds EOS-based projects using a quadratic mechanism to multiply community contributions. Quadratic Funding (QF) has proven to be the mathematically optimal way to fund public goods in a community. It gives greater weight to the number of unique contributors. With the magic of quadratic funding, more funds go to grants with more unique donors.
Anyone can submit a grant application: developers, businesses, or individuals who have new or ongoing projects building public goods on the Antelope blockchains. All you need is an idea for a product or service that would benefit the ecosystem and a plan to build it.
EOS Uptime by Hoken Tech
Italian startup Hoken Tech‘s Alfredo De Candia highlights EOS’s impeccable uptime in his most recent Medium article, where he compares the uptime of EOS to Solana. Solana is one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, and like EOS, it boasts high throughput and can process thousands of transactions per second.
However, compared to EOS, Solana has experienced significant issues with downtime and network reorganizations. EOS experienced a single downtime event immediately after the chain launch. Core developers remedied the issue within hours once identified. Since then, the network has experienced 100% uptime, even when processing 125 million daily transactions or upgrading the network.
Helios Interviews and EVMxIdeathon Workshops
Helios continues to help support builders on EOS with their incubator program and EVMxIdeathon. This week, they released a Sunrise interview with Douglas Butner, a member of the incubator program. Butner’s project, CXC.World, is a user-curated music map. Users add the location of a song’s recording session, the song and artist name, and any additional tags. Other users can then upvote songs they like in order to increase the size of the song’s icon on the map.
The Helios incubator program has gone through several waves of their incubator program, led by business development expert Gavriel Shaw, and they have hosted startups like Energeos, Hoken Tech, CXC.World, and many others.
Meanwhile Chris Waxa, marketing lead for Helios, hosts a marketing workshop geared toward EVMxIdeathon participants. This workshop is the latest in a series of workshops intended to give Ideathon and Hackathon participants all of the background info and industry tips they need to produce a truly compelling pitch for the Helios team.
AlienWorlds’ EOS Planet Eyeke
AlienWorlds is a dApp game that launched on the WAX network, and bridges to both BSC and EOS. The game allows players to explore the AlienWorlds universe, and features a plethora of planets with different communities and minigames called “Mission Games”.
A new planet, Eyeke, has been discovered and claimed by the EOS community, allowing AlienWorlds to use EOS governance tools like Eden and fund-matching tools like Pomelo, and allowing players to take advantage of EOS’s Yield+ initiative. The collaboration of EOS with the AlienWorlds ecosystem represents a great opportunity for EOS GameFi to integrate with the AlienWorlds community.
EOS network participants can travel to Planet Eyeke by joining the Planet Eyeke Telegram channel or by participating in the weekly AlienWorlds Community meetup at 16:00 UTC every Thursday.
