Third Official Eden Election
The third official Eden Election took place on July 9th and and EOS community members expressed great enthusiasm for the next era of true democracy on EOS with the processes outlined in More Equal Animals!
Approximately seventy talented Eden Members met on live video calls for this monumental election, where they elected eighteen Delegates and four Chief Delegates to allocate resources for the benefit of EOS. In truly democratic and transparent fashion, you can view the Eden UI to see the results of each room and watch the full videos of each participant coming to consensus to elect leaders. You can also watch the full five hour election livestream to hear fascinating and vibrant discussions in the community room on the Helios Youtube Channel.
In this Eden Election, the community elected a diverse set of four Chief Delegates with a wide variety of talents to create value for the EOS community: Chris Barnes, Dan Singjoy, Hahn Ryu, and Luka Percic. Each of these leaders will now be empowered with additional funding to benefit the EOS community and pivotal opportunities to lead the future of true democracy around the world. You can watch each Chief Delegate make their opening remarks and share their visions for the future of Eden in the moments after their election during the Eden Election livestream.
The day after the election, the Chief Delegates met with our CEO Yves La Rose for the historic First Contact livestream, which was the first ever publicly broadcasted conversation between the leaders of Eden and the ENF. During this fascinating discussion, each Chief Delegate & Yves shared their plans to empower EOS with Eden and grow Eden into a truly independent organization that can pave the way for countless more communities to cooperate with the fractal governance processes of Eden OS. In addition to participating in the momentous First Contact livestream, Yves also shared a thread congratulating the newly elected Chief Delegates, thanking everyone who participated, and encouraging everyone to get involved with the innovative democratic system of Eden to help lead the world’s second largest DAO.
As Yves wrote in the thread, decentralization leads to an abundance of leaders and Eden is an organization that helps the EOS community empower leaders. Each of these Chief Delegates bring exciting visions to create abundance with Eden On EOS and set the stage for the next generation of leaders during their three month terms as elected leaders.
Chris Barnes is a Helios Guardian who served as Chief Delegate in the first term of Eden and shared a comprehensive proposal to grow the Eden community with more organizational structure. You can watch Chris feature this Eden Election and share some of his insightful perspectives in last week’s Helios Top Moments video. Dan Singjoy is the founder of Eden Creators & Eden ƒractal, which uses the ƒractally consensus process to coordinate, incentivize, and reward Eden contributors in weekly meetings. In addition to supporting the Eden ƒractal, Dan will be also use some of the funds to support the EDEN Growth initiative from Jesse & the EOS Bees. You can watch Dan summarize this election in last week’s EOS Hot Sauce and you can hear both Chris & Dan share many thoughts about the Eden Election on last week’s Eden Town Hall, with comprehensive timestamps from Eden Delegate Felix Ruiz.
Hahn Ryu is the founder of NodeONE and MyVoteEOS, an organization which operates a voter proxy that aims to increase accountability. You can watch interviews with Hahn and EOS block producers on the MyVoteEOS Youtube channel to learn how Hahn plans to empower the EOS community with Eden’s democratic governance. You can also watch a recent Helios Spotlight interview with Hahn & Chris to learn more and read Hahn’s tweet expressing gratitude for the Eden community. Luka Percic is CEO of ZeroPass and is building Port, which enables private passport verification for popular EOS apps like Pomelo. Luka is planning to build an Eden Telegram bot that will enable the community to conduct elections with more convenience, reliability, and independence than the current solution with Zoom. Luka is also advocating for a simple approach to grow Eden without compromising the decentralized elegance of the original design.
Following the First Contact livestream, the Chief Delegates went straight to work and met for many helpful meetings throughout the week. The newly elected Chief Delegates recorded the first Chief Delegate Meeting, where they shared plans for Eden, KPIs to measure their progress, and intentions to share Chief Delegate meetings every week on the Eden Odysee channel. After several more meetings to coordinate the logistical & infrastructural details for hosting the next election, the newly elected Chief Delegates also met with the previous term Chief Delegates for a handover discussion about growing Eden, branding decisions, and strategies for engaging the community. Additionally, you can also hear an in-depth conversation with three of the newly elected Chief Delegates and many passionate Eden members during this week’s EOS Fireside Chat.
Congratulations to all participants!

DAGGs, The DAO Evolution of GameFi
Our CEO Yves La Rose penned a new article in the International Business Times, entitled “DAGGs, The DAO Evolution of GameFi.” In this insightful article, Yves explains the trajectory from Web2 Gaming Guilds to DAOs to DAGGs and how DAGGs will play a key role in unlocking greater adoption for the blockchain industry.
This article in the International Business Times provides a helpful follow-up to the Yves’ article published last week in NASDAQ, entitled ‘Decentralized Autonomous Gaming Guilds Are Essential To Build Up GameFi.’ If you’re not yet familiar, DAGGs, or Decentralized Autonomous Gaming Guilds, are a novel approach that merge the best attributes of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and gaming guilds. GameFi is a portmanteau of gaming and finance, whereby gamers play with capital in ways that were previously unimaginable. As Yves stated on recent interview, GameFi is the inevitable overlap between DeFi and NFTs that is leading towards the gamification of decentralized finance. In both of these recent articles and an accompanying thread, Yves makes the compelling case that DAGGs will transform GameFi and help empower millions of gamers with fun, profitable, & social blockchain gaming experiences!
With industry leading technology and more popular blockchain games than any other blockchain community, EOS is in the perfect position to capitalize on this trend and lead the way by empowering gamers with innovative DAGGs & GameFi opportunities. To learn much more about why EOS will be such a pioneering market leader in the GameFi industry, read the feature story in our July 11th Weekly Report for an introduction to DAGGs, analysis of GameFi’s exponential growth, and the superb ability of EOS to foster blockchain gaming in ways that are unimaginable anywhere else. In addition to the weekly report and resources linked above, you can also watch EOS Hot Sauce #159 for an exciting overview of the tremendous progress and potential of EOS GameFi, as well some exciting EOS games like Upland, liquiid, and dozens of top tier games on Wombat. Lastly, you can also read a new article on Bywire News to learn about 5 Play-To-Earn Games Built On EOS.
EOS Bees Swarms 2.0

For the past six months, the EOS Bees have been innovating a powerful new way to promote content on social media, build relationships with popular influencers, and reward EOS community members for engaging with tweets that help EOS. The EOS Bees worked closely with the developers of popular EOS app Tipit to build a bespoke open-source software solution for incentivizing engagement on social media and automatically distributing EOS payments to EOS Bees NFT holders who engage with tweets about EOS.
To maximize the value created by this innovative software, the EOS Bees have amassed about 200 unique individuals to work together in each swarm and designed a comprehensive process for engaging with popular influencers, which you can see in this semi-technical infographic. You can learn many more exciting details about EOS Bees Swarms 2.0 and learn how to earn EOS by promoting EOS in a newly released article on Bywire News. You can also learn more about EOS Bees Swarms 2.0 from founder Jesse Jaffe during this week’s EOS Fireside Chat.
